Reading 2 Samuel Chapter 12

Yahweh sends Nathan to confront David with his sin of killing Uriah and taking Uriah's wife to be his own. David repents and is forgiven, but Yahweh explains there will be severe consequences because David has "given great occasion to Yahweh's enemies to blaspheme." David and Bathsheba's first baby dies. Later, Solomon is born and Yahweh indicates he is chosen to be the next king. Read from the World English Bible.
