This is one of the most bizarre stories in the Bible-- and one of the most interesting. Sandwiched in between Joseph's story, this story is descriptive of this situation in Genesis, not prescriptive of how we should behave. We're continuing our series on these women in the Bible who were outsiders, yet God used them in mighty ways. This story is about Tamar, a woman who craftily devised a crazy plan to save herself. This story shows how God can redeem even the most bizarre and sinful of situations and provide restoration and protection.
