Today, I’m thrilled to welcome Holly, an animal welfare scientist whose work with the Canine Science Collaboratory is both groundbreaking and heartwarming. Her research focuses on something that’s at the very core of this podcast—the positive emotional states of dogs, and how we, as humans, interpret their happiness. Holly’s work isn’t just about science—it’s about deepening our connection with our dogs, learning to see and honor the emotions they experience every day. I can’t wait to explore how understanding a dog’s joy can change the way we live with, love, and care for them.
This episode will be the last one of the season. We have done a lot of work honouring Max the past year, and will now take a bit of a break. Max passed on August 21, 2024.
Love your dogs and always appreciate the time you have with them.
A Dog's Devotion will be back September 21st.
Thank you for listening, and in the mean time we will be playing some of our season's highlights just in case you missed them.
See you soon!
xoxo
Carla
What is A Dog's Devotion?
A Dog’s Devotion is a heartfelt podcast dedicated to celebrating the unbreakable bond between people and their dogs. Inspired by the incredible love and loyalty of my rescue dog, Max, each episode shares powerful, uplifting, and emotional stories of how dogs change—and often save—their humans’ lives. From tales of resilience and healing to the everyday joy our four-legged companions bring, this podcast is for anyone who knows that a dog’s devotion is like nothing else. If you are a dog lover, this podcast is for you. Hosted by Carla Bosacki.
