Today’s Advent devotion from First Baptist Athens is offered by Amy Young. The story of the angel Gabriel’s announcement to Mary is told in the gospel of Luke, chapter 1, verses 26-38. The passage is being read today from The Voice translation. Prior to the reading of the scripture, the voice of Alan Hester invites God’s presence singing O Come, O Come, Emmanuel.
