Transforming Culture

Welcome back to Transforming Culture - a new year, new podcast! We're excited to be rolling into Episode 2 of Season 5. In this week's episode, Rusty Russell takes up a hot topic and asks how we live out our faith in a modern-day context through the question "Is socialism a modern-day deception?"
Drawing on 2 Thessalonians 2:1-17, where Paul urges a shaken church not to be deceived in any way, Rusty shares his on Paul’s call to stand firm in the teachings we’ve received. As with every teacher in this series, Rusty speaks freely from his own convictions, inviting you to bring an open Bible and an open heart, and to test everything against the Word.

What is Transforming Culture?

The world is rapidly changing. Every time we blink, it seems there’s a new cultural rule that we all have to follow. It can feel like waves crashing on us: we want to love others well, but also lead them to Jesus truthfully. Join us for Transforming Culture, where we take a deeper dive into how Christianity and the Bible interact with society and culture. These podcast episodes are based on sessions taught live at Muskoka Bible Centre as a part of our summer ministry programming.

MBC's mission is to grow resilient, biblically rooted families to the glory of God. We provide experiences where guests are renewed in their faith journey with Jesus Christ, connected to others in meaningful relationship and equipped to be the hands and feet of God in their communities.
