Inside Groove Show - Host Tom Baker
Bonus Episode:  Against All Odds - Joe Gosek Makes The Indy 500

There are a handful of races in the world that are considered to be iconic.  The 24 Hours of Lemans.  The Rolex 24 at Daytona.  The Daytona 500.  The Bathurst 1000.  The Indy 500.

Of all of those, only one is considered "The Greatest Spectacle In Racing".

The Indy 500, for most of its first 100 years, was one of the most grueling and difficult races to qualify for, let alone to compete in and finish.  It's the pinnacle of almost any racer's career.

Joe Gosek, a small-town racer from Oswego, New York, had become one of the top supermodified racers in the Northeast over the previous 15 seasons, winning the Budweiser International Classic at the Oswego Speedway and numerous other events in cars that were increasingly becoming mini-indy cars.

In 1996, he and some close friends put together enough resources to take a shot at the Indy 500.  They had a ride with a team whose cars were "well used", and the ups and downs of Joe's month to qualify for the event became the stuff of legends.

Joe tells his story as only he can, and it is a story worth telling and hearing.
