You shall not commit adultery. Some of us hear that and feel comfortable, that's not our struggle. Others hear it and feel the weight of something painful, something in the past or the present that's hard to carry.
This message from Matthew 5 and Exodus 20 takes the seventh commandment seriously without treating broken people carelessly. Adultery isn't just a physical act, Jesus traces it back to the heart, to the look, to the thought, to the thing that takes root long before any action follows. And God's design for marriage isn't a restriction on joy. It's protection of something he made beautiful.
The response: honour people, flee from temptation, and cling to Jesus.
