The Disney Parks Icons: The Story Behind Some of the Best-Known Disney "Wienies"

Every Disney Park has its iconic symbol. These are often the most well know images associated with the parks.

In most cases, the icon is something that you can see as soon as you enter the park. Walt Disney called these "wienies." Listen to the episode to hear the reason why. The idea was that the wienie or icon should be something that would draw guests further into the park -- towards the icon itself.
