Let’s All Get Along

According to the Joint Commission, poor communication accounts for two thirds of sentinel incidents in health care. Inadequate communication between nurses and doctors leads to dissatisfaction at work and poor patient outcomes. On this episode, Dr. Brian Flanagan, a pulmonologist and critical care physician, and Adam Weekley, an ICU nurse and nurse practitioner student, discuss ways they have achieved optimal communication techniques.
