New Announcements:
- New study has found that children can spread the virus
Calls:
- Is it okay for kids to be unmasked when hanging out outside of school? If they are outside and socially distanced a mask is not required but if they want to be in a group, closer together, they should be wearing one.
- Kitchen staff were seen not wearing masks in a local restaurant.
- How does COVID-19 affect people with multiple sclerosis? While MS itself has not been proven to increase risk to COVID-19, the medical issues it can cause can make you more vulnerable to the virus
- How are Cal Firefighters who show symptoms of COVID-19 dealt with in our county? They are advised to isolate until their test results come back and are counted as cases in their home counties, not in Mendocino county, if they do end up testing positive.
- What makes it possible for us to find a vaccine for COVID-19 considering the AIDS epidemic has gone decades without any progress towards its own? The HIV virus is able to rearrange its outer protein shell, which prevents an effective immune response. However, the COVID virus holds a very stable shape.
- Why do COVID test results take so long and what is the safest way to travel? The safest way to travel right now is driving and the testing process has been sped up but they often wait a couple of days before contacting people in order to avoid any bad tests.
