Show Notes

Things look different in this episode as Flyover Film Show takes you to beautiful downtown Little Rock Arkansas, filming location for "A Violent Storm". This powerful short was recently named a San Francisco Independent Short Film Festival official selection, as well as an official selection of the Independent Shorts Awards. Director Timothy Barnett, cinematographer Brad Fugere, and leading man Eric Watts discuss what it takes to turn the dream of making a film into reality, inspiration in each of their unique roles, and how spoken word informs the story and theme. Later, we're joined by two residents of Flyover Country with unique careers in Hollywood. Ben Stockton's latest Atlanta-based project was faith-based hit The Chosen, where he served as a production assistant. Whitney Butler is an alumnus of the University of Central Arkansas Digital Filmmaking Program, and after graduation worked in public relations in Los Angeles. We discuss drive-in movies, Academy Awards campaigns, and of course, how COVID-19 has dramatically affected their professional lives. We had such a great time conversing with these intelligent, creative individuals. Tune in to hear more!
