Like Ptolemy, brilliant as he was, considering the Earth to be at the center of the universe, he was sorely mistaken. And as he attempted to map/understand the movements of the heavenly bodies... it got more and more difficult past observing the sun and the moon. Why? Because he was not putting what is first, first. It wasn't until Copernicus came along and put the Sun at the center that things became more simple, and made more sense. Similarly, we humans have a Ptolemaic default orientation to reality by virtue of putting /self/ first instead of what is actually ((First))... ((Source)).
