WJFF - Trailer Talk

What happens when a political journalist and a political junkie meet? Only weeks away from Election Day, Sabrina welcomes back Nina Burleigh, a political journalist, and invites first-time Trailer Talker, Laury Sejen, who has worked on campaigns and has a passion for politics, to join the conversation following the presidential debate. Nina is a journalist, best-selling author, and publisher of American Freakshow, a Substack newsletter on politics.

She is also a contributing editor at The New Republic and a frequent contributor to The New York Times and New York Magazine. Laury talks with Nina about her analysis following the debate and why it matters for us. Sabrina welcomes folks to join her for stories from America’s kitchen table.

What is WJFF - Trailer Talk?

Sabrina Artel's Trailer Talk is a combination of live performance, community event and radio broadcast based in the New York's Catskills region. With her vintage 1965 Beeline travel trailer, Sabrina Arteltravels to festivals and events where she invites individuals to participate in what she calls a "public conversation" in a relaxed and comfortable setting. These conversations are broadcast live through speakers mounted outside the trailer, and many interviews are later aired on WJFF during the weekly program. The New York Times described Sabrina Artel's Trailer Talk as "an unusual blend of theater, activism and broadcast journalism."
