Healing at the Speed of Light

Laser therapy has been shown to improve cognitive and physical function for Parkinson’s patients.

Show Notes

Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disease with no cure and few treatment options. Cases of Parkinson’s disease have increased due to aging populations and longer disease duration. In this episode, Dr. Rountree and Kristi review a 2021 study on how laser and light therapy has been safely used to stimulate neural pathways in the brain. Transcranial light therapy has positive effects on the tissues of the brain; reducing inflammation of the brain and stimulating tissues at the cellular level to help develop new neural pathways.
