The Bek and Siri Show

In this weeks live chat Bek reminds us taking a little time off won't damage our fitness too much, and in almost all cases is better than training through sickness or injury. She also touches on the grey zone and how to stay out of it and Siri's unique approach to dealing with anxiety at the race start.

Show Notes

Bek reminds us about how taking off a few weeks to heal any injuries or sickness is OK because you won't lose as much fitness as you think, and you can bounce back within weeks to get back to where you were.

You want to stay out of the grey zones -- make sure your hards are really hard and your easy is really easy so you can recover.

Controlling your anxiety, especially during a race can be difficult, but there are ways to control it.  Siri would crack jokes prior to the race, but there are many things you can do.  The important thing is to have a positive mindset and just focus.
