From Surviving to Thriving

Aoife has been a teacher in Qatar for the past year and a half. Busy social life, a small community where everyone knows everyone, and a lifestyle that made it very easy to fall into old habits.

When she joined the Thriving Teachers Academy she thought she needed to do more to get results.

She was wrong.

In this episode Aoife talks honestly about what it actually took to change. Not the training plan. Not the nutrition. But the internal shift that had to happen before anything else could.

She also talks about the comments she got from people around her when she started prioritising herself. How she handled them. And why she thinks that lesson was the most important one she learned.

Oh, and somewhere along the way she went from someone who could only run 5k to completing a half marathon.

But honestly, that's not even the best part of this conversation.

If you've ever felt guilty for putting yourself first, this one's for you.
