I welcome my therapist, Mary Ann, onto the show because she is so wise and incredible in what she does. She works with many high-functioning women, high performers, and moms who are cut from the same cloth as we are as Radical Females. I call it her "collective". Mary Ann saved me about five years ago when we lost our first baby at 17 weeks. I thought I was going to talk to her about my pregnancy loss, but she unpacked so much more than that for me. She's helped me heal from a journey of a hard childhood with my mother, not feeling worthy, and so much more.
I am excited to share her knowledge and healing ways with you all. In this episode, Mary Ann talks about her journey as a Radical Female and what led her approach to being a therapist for women. She also discusses some techniques she supports her clients with, what tools she recommends for women to tap into and a lesson on intuition.
A little more about Mary Ann:
Mary Ann has been practicing psychotherapy for 30 years. She's a professor at Towson University and has taught for 30 years. Her therapeutic approach is different. She really relies on her intuition. Utilizes breathwork, Jungian analysis, and energy work to help her clients find their unconscious blocks that may hinder self-realization. Her office called the Zen Den, is where she helps her clients find peace in their darkest moments and helps them in their healing journey. She's been married for 35 years, has two grown children, John and Casey, and loves her dog Maizie.
She's not big on social media, but you can meet her on her Instagram page:

What is The Radical Female with Jami Crist?
The Radical Female, hosted by Jami Crist is a podcast focused on helping women step into their own confidence and power. What is a Radical Female? A radical female is somebody who challenges the way things have always been done. When she sees a locked door, she sneaks in through the window. She’s not afraid to speak up for what she believes in, even if that means sticking out from the crowd. She won’t compromise her priorities or renounce her values. Above all, a radical female isn’t afraid to bet on herself, even if nobody else will.
Whether you’re a female founder prepared to take on your industry’s standard, or a female exec sick and tired of prioritizing everybody else’s priorities, we here to talk through those transformations and how to make it happen by hearing real women who have been through it.
The host, Jami Crist has stepped into her own radical female transformation multiple times, by finding her voice as a female sports exec; through grief and losses, and life changes.
