Maya: Hey everyone! Here's what's on the radar today on AI.pt. DKV Mobility is building a Porto data and AI team, CGI announced a Portugal AI center, and OutSystems opened its platform to AI coding tools. I'm Maya. James: And I'm James. Let's get into it. Maya: So DKV Mobility, which provides international transport services, picked Porto for a new data and AI Tech Hub, Link To Leaders reports. They call it a centre of excellence to build digital products for transport, not an isolated satellite team. James: That's the key detail, Maya. The target is roughly one hundred and fifty specialists by the end of twenty twenty-seven, with about fifty positions filled by the end of twenty twenty-six. Hiring has already started. Maya: Exactly right, and during the build-up they're working with Capgemini, then fully integrating the team by twenty twenty-seven. It complements their sites in Ratingen and Bucharest, with no jobs moving from either. James: And the stated reason is talent, Maya. CTO Jesper Erichsen said competition for data and AI professionals is intense across Europe, and Porto offers the profiles they need in both diversity and quality. Maya: Onto CGI, James. The IT and consulting firm announced an in-house Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence in Portugal, focused on agentic AI, software agents that run multi-step tasks on their own, and generative AI. James: Right, and the goal is helping clients achieve measurable business outcomes, Maya. CGI says it'll be operational in early May and integrated into its Portugal operations, which already include more than two thousand CGI Partners. Maya: One caution there, James. The announcement is undated and gives no year for that early May, so we can't say whether the center is actually running yet. James: Fair point, Maya. What's concrete is the existing work from Portugal: banking software, intelligent agents for service management, computer vision in healthcare, and the operation serves Finland, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Maya: Last one, James. OutSystems announced Agent Experience on October seventh, opening its platform to AI coding tools, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and Kiro. The agents work at the design level, so tests and governance apply from the start. James: And that's the whole pitch, Maya. External agents help define architecture, OutSystems generates the code deterministically. They cite a survey where seventy-four percent of AI-generated code needs rework or never ships, and early customer Yesco says it cut release cycles to two weeks. Maya: That's your AI.pt daily brief.
