वर्तमाने वर्तितव्यम्

कल्पनालोके विहरन् कश्चन तरुणः कदाचित् स्वप्ने राजत्वं प्राप्तवान् आसीत् । अग्रिमदिनात् आरभ्य सः महाराजवत् व्यवहारम् आरब्धवान् । मातापितरौ किमपि कार्यं वदतः चेत् सः वदति 'अहं महाराजः अस्मि । किं महाराजः स्वयं कार्यं कुर्यात्‌?’ इति । एषः कथं बोधनीयः इति गृहसदस्याः यदा चिन्ताक्रान्ताः आसन् तदा तस्य अनुजा उपायेन तं समीकरोति । वस्तुस्थितिम् अवगत्य सः तरुणः कल्पनालोके विहारात् कीदृशं कष्टं भवति इति जानन् स्वस्य कर्तव्यम् अवगच्छति ।

A young man, lost in the world of imagination, once dreamt of becoming a king. From the next day onward, he began behaving like a king. Whenever his parents asked him to do something, he would reply, "I am the king. Why would a king do tasks himself?" Concerned about how to bring him back to reality, his family members grew anxious. His younger sister, however, devised a clever plan to help him see reason. Realizing the truth of his situation, the young man understood the hardships that come with living in a world of fantasy and recognized his responsibilities.
