Solving For Joy

Stop Waiting for Permission to Live the Life You Want with Dr. Saidie Rodriguez

What if you didn't have to prove your worth before giving yourself permission to live fully?

In this episode of Solving for Joy, I'm joined by my dear friend, pediatric cardiac intensivist and physician coach Dr. Saidie Rodriguez, to explore self-trust, personal sovereignty, and the courage to live on our own terms.

After years of medical training, Saidie realized that her commitment to becoming an exceptional physician had gradually disconnected her from her own voice. A difficult encounter with a colleague became a turning point, helping her discover coaching and a new relationship with herself.

Together, we explore the patterns that keep us seeking approval, why self-trust doesn't require certainty, and how to reclaim our agency without waiting for external validation. We also reflect on the difference between joy and delight, and why finding a little peace may be the first step when joy feels out of reach.
