you as we begin today, because as we look at the fruit of the 00:06:17.240 --> 00:06:27.000 spirit, we are looking at how God wants to alter us, wants to transform us by the power of the 00:06:27.000 --> 00:06:35.000 Holy Spirit, so that we can become all that he's envisioned for us to become as his child of faith. 00:06:35.840 --> 00:06:42.360 Now, as we look, turn with me and we're going to look at Galatians chapter 5. 00:06:43.040 --> 00:06:48.080 And what I want you to do is I want you to begin looking at verse 16. 00:06:49.560 --> 00:07:02.360 Verse 16 says, but I say, walk by the spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the 00:07:02.360 --> 00:07:02.720 flesh. 00:07:03.420 --> 00:07:08.780 Now, what it's talking about is that if we go back to John chapter 14, just as a bit of 00:07:08.780 --> 00:07:14.740 review, John chapter 14 is when Jesus was saying to the disciples, peace, I leave you. 00:07:15.400 --> 00:07:22.160 I am going away, but I will ask the father to send to you a helper. 00:07:23.080 --> 00:07:24.900 And that helper is the Holy Spirit. 00:07:25.640 --> 00:07:29.940 And that helper will teach you all things and lead you in all ways. 00:07:30.460 --> that's what we're looking at in Galatians chapter 5, talking about the Holy Spirit, 00:07:59.740 --> 00:08:05.720 which empowers us to live a life reflective of Christ within. 00:08:06.560 --> we've already seen up above of all the things in the flesh, envy, strife, anger, 00:08:23.520 --> 00:08:33.520 all that stuff, we need to put to death, crucify that life, and live faithfully in the
