David was born and raised in Montreal. His mom worked in insurance and his dad was an aeronautical engineer, so David came by his love of math naturally. He left home at 18 to attend the University of Waterloo in Ontario, where he earned a BMath in Actuarial Science and Statistics. David is an actuary and Senior Director at Willis Towers Watson, a global human capital and risk management consulting firm. He started his career in Toronto and then transferred to Vancouver in the late-1990s. In his work, David helps companies set up and manage defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans. David is passionate about his work, and will speak for hours about pension plans to anyone willing to listen. In his spare time, David enjoys cycling, volleyball and downhill skiing. He is married to Mara, with whom he has two teenage boys. David lives in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.
Eclectic conversations.
