Friday, March 8 is day 21 of the Lenten Journey. First Baptist Church of Athens offers daily devotions for reflection during Lent. These are personal stories given by members and come from their personal life and journey in faith. Real people sharing their joys and sorrows, doubts and convictions, fears, hopes, and gratitude. As you make your personal journey, and choices, during Lent, we hope their insights will bring you inspiration, encouragement, and discovery. The devotion today is given by Jill Dawson. 

What is Open to Explore Devotions?

This fall we are offering a 6 week series of podcasts connecting scripture and prayer. Twice each week a new episode will offer a brief scripture and reflection opportunity. Episodes will feature some specific guidelines for different ways to pray, and to do so with scripture. Some episodes will introduce a specific prayer practice. Others will have ideas and encouragements for how to approach prayer using a selected scripture passage.

The series will run from October 8 through November 15, 2024. The podcast, Open to Explore Devotions, can be found on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Google Podcasts.
