Revering the Word

From a dark time in Israel’s history we begin to transition to a season where God is going to allow Israel to have a King and ultimately we will see the promise for David’s family to have a King forever. That is now fulfillled through Jesus. Samuel the prophet plays a key role in choosing and raising up David to be King. The books of first and second Samuel begin in a dark time in Israel’s history but move toward a grand time at the end of David’s life where worship of Yahweh has been restored and there is hope for the nation. Sadly this trend will not last long.
