The 10 Commandments are written and Israel is God's judgment agent.

God writes the Ten Commandments on two stone tablets and Israel survive, in spite of hearing His great voice from the midst of a fire . But the elders are concerned that His fire will consume them and request for Moses to stand in between, as a mediator. Moses delivers the most vital aspects of God's law and three key warnings for Israel in the Promised Land. Moses calls them to destroy the Canaanites, God is using Israel as his agent of judgement. He provides clear reasons why they are to execute holy war.
