Reading 1 Kings Chapter 11

Here we hear the sad account of Solomon committing abominations in worshipping foreign gods, making Yahweh angry. Yahweh tells Solomon the kingdom will be torn away from his son, but meanwhile three adversaries are raised up against Solomon. Jeroboam is treated to a very personal prophecy and offer of a kingdom, so Solomon tries to kill him. Solomon dies soon after that. Read from the World English Bible.
