An oral historian and nonprofit leader who has chronicled the stories of Latinos who settled in Rhode Island, Martínez will receive an honorary degree at Commencement Exercises for the Class of 2019. The Texas native shared her memories of her undergraduate days and of helping young people, including PC students, become historians in their communities.
