The Drop with Danno on GFN 광주영어방송

We remember Luther Vandross on what would have been his 70th birthday on Tuesday to start the show, but the big event tonight was rocking Sanchez's latest single during our AMPED 2nd hour, produced & arranged by our resident rock guru Dan Lloyd.

Show Notes

As broadcast April 22, 2021 with bonus mileage for our man Sanchez.  We remember Luther Vandross to begin things tonight as Tuesday would have been his 70th birthday.  We remember a few things over four incomparable decades in the music biz, including how the man came to the public's attention and his unreal run of Grammy nods and sales through the years.  After that, there was lots of new stuff in the funk/soul/boogie rubric of recent vintage from the likes of Orgone, Lucky Daye, The Bamboos, and many others to go through in our first hour.  After the first 57, it's Dan Lloyd's turn to rock it with tunes from Wolf Alice, mxpx, and a slew of others, but looming above them all is the new tune from our man Sanchez. here in Gwangju, which we end part 3 with and talk to Dan Lloyd about producing and arranging this gem.
