Ira Green is the Founder and CEO of Freedom Deodorant, a natural deodorant company. Within one year, three of Ira’s friends were diagnosed with breast cancer. After hearing about the risks associated with antiperspirant, she took matters into her own hands and began researching natural deodorants.
In this episode, Ira shares how she went from a successful financial career to product entrepreneur. Fueled by her passion to find an effective natural deodorant, Ira developed a formula that ultimately led to the launch of Freedom. From perfecting her deodorant recipe to identifying distribution gaps and building public awareness, Ira has learned a thing or two from starting this “Freedom journey.”
Ready to scale her business, Ira opens up about the humbling process of raising capital, especially as a woman. She shares her trial and error process in effectively using Freedom’s social media platforms, and has great advice about trusting your intuition as opposed to outside voices.

Pursuing your future doesn’t end at 40, in fact, it may mark the beginning of knowing who you are, what you’re capable of and what you really want. But knowing what’s next and how to get there can be a challenge—especially when old narratives play on repeat. I’ve come to believe that the best way to understand your possibilities is in hearing from others—what they have done and how they have done it.
LIBERTY ROAD is here to share stories so that you can consider your possibilities, pursue your purpose and move into your future with intention.
