Winter cycling bikes: Getting a bike for winter cycling

If you’re interested in trying winter cycling but are unsure as to whether you’ll enjoy it enough to invest in a trendy fat bike, you have a number of options.

First, keep in mind that people have been winter cycling for years already by either getting a second bike and changing to winter tires or using the bike they’ve been riding for a while now and changing its tires!

If you are interested in trying out a fatbike before you buy one, you can rent one at either River Valley Adventure Co or United Sport and Cycle, and their information is on line.

If you’re interested in a second-hand bike, you can contact Bike Edmonton to buy one from them. Note however that you must physically go to their shop during their regular shop hours to take a look at their current stock.

If you’re looking for quick tips or hints on how to make winter cycling better for yourself, check out Bike Edmonton’s tiktok where they have a wide range of videos!
