It's never an easy decision to go No Contact with family. Usually, there are a thousand tiny things that happen before the final straw pushes you over the edge: one final overstepped boundary, one last diminishment of your feelings... and the fallout can be emotionally and/or financially devastating. But sometimes, there is a positive other side to the decision.
Today, Laura walks you through her personal journey, from the initial turbulent family dynamic (the good, the bad, and the ugly), to being sent away to child prison / conversion therapy camp for several years, to repeatedly coming out of the closet and being shut down. She shares how she came to her decision, why it was so difficult to make, and what has come of it--both good and bad.
