PULSE Zine

In this episode host Fune Arowobusoye sits down with Carolina Vik, who is from Brazil. Carolina does not describe herself as an artist but is passionate about video-making as a hobby. Her video submission for PULSE was the first video she ever created. In this episode, Carolina talks about her goals, remaining motivated, and not allowing anyone to put you in a box.

What is PULSE Zine?

PULSE is a zine created annually by the Students of Colour Collective (SOCC) at the University of Victoria. The zine aims to celebrate our communities, and provide an outlet for BIPOC to share their experiences, stories and artistry. This year, the PULSE zine includes a podcast component, in collaboration with CFUV 101.9FM, wherein each episode we sit down with a BIPOC artist who is featured in this year's edition of PULSE, to talk about art, the importance of community, and what compels them to create.
