Show Notes

For this weeks campus update we cover the universities new stance on the provincial wide vaccine mandate ending. In the february 8th covid update the university made the statement that the campus would not be changing its safety measures anytime soon, this comes  after the premier announced changes to the guidelines earlier that week.

Later on the week on the 10th the president of the university, Bill Flanagan made note that masks and campus ready passes will still be a part of the safety measures in place.

This news came as an interesting counter to the minister of advanced education Demetrios Nicolaides, who earlier in the week encouraged that post secondary schools should “align” their policies and practises with the Alberta government.

Also announced was the Alberta government has now stated that if hospitalizations continue to drop from covid-19, we could see the mask mandate removed by March 1st.
