An age-old strategy to get more people on your website is to ask 10-20 people who are experts in your field a question a lot of your audience & prospects care a ton about… Some call it ego bait – because these people tend to promote the roundup or guide after it’s done.
This seriously works – especially if you include people who have audiences of their own – and have the attention of your ideal customers.
But I suggest LEAD GENERATION CHAMPIONS do this for more than just the increase in people promoting your article… and getting a TON of website traffic.
It also can be a great way to make connections and solidify relationships with STRATEGIC PARTNER type people. Folks in your industry that could connect you with a lot of business.
- Find a question your audience cares about a lot.
- Identify 10-20 small-mid-large audience influencer type people that have the expertise that’s respected by the audience you’re trying to reach.
- Reach out with a “hey do you want to be part of an expert roundup”? Email / tweet/ personal conversation.
- Roundup the best answers, and make sure the post has great images and makes them look GOOD.
- Promote the post aggressively on social media, tag the influencers and potential strategic partners, and have them promote it too.
- Little used step 6 – create referral relationships with these folks, and try to send them business as well!
