Sometimes it can feel like we are so down and overwhelmed with grief and despair that we are drowning and there is nothing we can do about it. In Psalm 42, we learn to not deny those feelings but to not let them rule over us. We learn to preach the gospel to ourselves and to put our hope in our Savior and our Lord.
