Coffee With Jeff

Once upon a time, an American industrialist had the idea to go into the jungle of South America and produce rubber. He knew nothing about producing rubber, and his men knew nothing about rubber, they just assumed that what worked in the U.S.A. would work in Brazil. They fought the natural conditions and the people of the area to force their way of doing things to get the job done. After ten years and millions of dollars, they just might have learned a lesson. Or maybe not.

Today I have the story of Henry Ford and his attempt to create a Utopian Rubber Plantation and transplant a little part of the American dream into the jungle on the 195th Episode of Sunday Morning Coffee with Jeff.

What is Coffee With Jeff?

A short true tale told every Sunday morning as told by Jeff! Each story is told as accurately as possible with, hopefully, a bit of humor. This is the place in which you hear things you probably never knew, or probably never wanted to know.
