Your celebration of Christmas better be more than a nativity. The advent of Jesus was only the beginning. As you look toward Christmas, do you recognize God’s power at work in the world and in your life? Do you recognize the way that (amidst Israel’s turmoil in the 1st century) that God offered peace? Do you recognize the way that (amidst your own personal and our collective turmoil) that God offers peace through His Son Jesus? For the peace of God to be present and truly help you in everyday life, your whole heart must be seized by and submitted to God. Conceiving Christ means being committed to Christ. “May it be done to us according to His Word.”
