Inside Groove Podcast

Welcome to Episode 148 of the Inside Groove Show, the nation's premier Supermodified and Northeast short track podcast hosted by Tom Baker and produced by Steering Wheel Nation.

This show is very special, with featured guest Andrew Schartner sharing the emotion and thought processes behind his final drive in the No. 18 SBS car he and his father, Karl Schartner, built for competition at the Oswego Speedway. The race took place on July 6th, 2024, and was known as the Karl Schartner Memorial race.  Andrew went out and won it.  Hear him talk of it and more in this candid interview.

The second guest on this week's show is now two-time 350 Supermodified winner Talen Hawksby, who talks about his season-to-date and becoming the first of the three generations of "Hawksby drivers" to crack the elusive victory lane at Oswego.
