Practicing the Practices

What happens when following Jesus leads us into a season of dryness, disorientation, waiting, or uncertainty? In the opening episode of Season 5, Brad and Casey explore the wilderness as a normal, though often difficult, part of our journey with God. They discuss the “liminal space” between no longer and not yet, why we are often tempted to interpret these seasons as failure or abandonment, and how the wilderness can become a place of formation, intimacy, and honest encounter with God.

The invitation is not to explain the wilderness or rush your way out of it. Sometimes faithfulness begins by simply staying turned toward God, even when you are frustrated, doubtful, or unsure that he is near.

What is Practicing the Practices?

Jesus is our greatest gift and our greatest example. He is our Savior and our Teacher. Practicing the Practices is a learning and experiential podcast geared towards helping you along on your Spiritual Formation journey.

Each episode will introduce you to a Discipleship Practice and provide a tutorial of sorts to show you how to practice the Way of Jesus in your everyday life.

While this is a local church podcast, we have geared and shaped it for a broad audience. Were hopeful that they are beneficial to followers of Jesus everywhere.
