God’s people have a threefold enemy: The world, flesh, and the devil. This threefold enemy is always attacking God’s people. But we must rest assured that God will avenge His people and bring justice. Israel must trust that Yahweh will avenge what Assyria, Babylon, and Persia have done. Even more so, believers in Israel need to trust that Yahweh will avenge what unbelievers in Israel have done. Most importantly, this vengeance will be witnessed at the Cross and the Last Judgment.
