Tonight we opened the show paying tribute to the man who drove the train to Skaville in Prince Buster, who also popularized ska music during its early years back in the UK with several charting tunes. After that, Danno took a solo trip to Cabo Verde or Cape Verde tonight. Since the late 1960's and an unexplained ghost ship filled with the latest keyboards washing up on the shores of this small island country off the mainland coast of West Africa, the output has been astounding vs population when it comes to quality music. While challenging, we tried to fit every bit we could into two hours of programming, with highlights from Abel Lima, Tcheka, Cesaria Evora, and many many more. Cosmic stuff!
