Most of us only see part of the picture when making decisions, which is why Proverbs 3:5-7 calls us to trust God more than we trust ourselves. Leaning on our own understanding means placing the full weight of our lives on something that has limits. God sees what we cannot: the heart behind the person, the outcome behind the opportunity, and the compromise behind the open door. Real trust is not proven when we understand God. It is proven when we obey Him without understanding. Proverbs 3:6 calls us to acknowledge God in all our ways, not just the big spiritual decisions, but every area of life. He does not always promise to show us the whole plan, but He does promise to direct our paths. You do not need the entire map. You just need to follow the Guide.
