The Third Beer Podcast

Terry Magpie Playle is our guest on The Third Beer podcast. He is passionate about acts of kindness. After a special realisation at a retreat, in a dark time of his life, he is shifting his business skills to social enterprise. Terry generously shares his story and wants more men like him to open up to save their own health. It really is the stuff of folk tale. As part of his healing, Terry stopped denying his indigenous roots after his Nan passed away, a Barkindji Murray River woman and author and activist of the stolen generation. Find out why Terry is called Magpie. It’s unbelievable! This podcast is as always about men’s life journeys and this episode is, as Terry puts it so poetically, how one drop in a billabong can have a ripple effect

What is The Third Beer Podcast?

The Third Beer is a regular Podcast hosted by Psychologist Chris Dickson and Brett McCallum. Each week they invite a special guest into the studio to talk about men’s health, mental health and general wellbeing whilst sharing a few beers. The focus is on those subjects that blokes find it hard to talk about. Brett has already shared a year-long mental health journey with the help of Chris, and although he is still a work-in-progress, Brett has seen himself become a better human being. While the chat with each week’s special guest will take place in a very informal setting and with an informal style, the conversation and topics are taken 100% seriously. Lets break down personal and world issues, one beer at a time.
