पुरुषप्रयासः मुख्यः

कदाचित् उभौ राजानौ युद्धस्य आरम्भात् पूर्वं कस्यचन महात्मनः आशीर्वादं प्राप्तुम् इष्टवन्तौ । पूर्वराजस्य कृते महात्मा अवदत् 'भवतः विजयः सुलभसाध्यः' इति । अन्यस्य देशस्य राज्ञः कृते अवदत् महात्मा 'भवतः विजयः कष्टसाध्यः' इति । सः राजा स्वदेशं गत्वा सर्वविधसन्नाहं कर्तुं सेनाप्रमुखान् अवदत् । युद्धे पूर्वदेशस्य पराजयः अभवत् । यदा सः महात्मानं पराजयस्य कारणम् अपृच्छत् तदा महात्मा अवदत् 'भवता जयप्राप्त्यर्थं परिश्रमः एव न कृतः' इति । अतः पुरुषप्रयासः अतीव मुख्यः इति अनया कथया ज्ञातुं शक्नुमः ।

Once, before the start of a war, two kings sought the blessing of a great sage. To the first king, the sage said, “Your victory will be easily achieved.” To the other king, he said, “Your victory will be difficult.” The second king returned to his country and instructed his generals to prepare thoroughly. In the battle, the first king was defeated. When he asked the sage the reason for his loss, the sage replied, “You did not make any effort to achieve victory.” Thus, this story teaches us that human effort is of utmost importance.

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
