Israel’s failure reminds us of the truth in Book of Jeremiah 17:9 — the heart is deceitful above all things. Idolatry isn’t only worshipping a false god; it’s also worshipping the true God falsely, shaping Him into something that suits us.
Yet even in humanity’s wandering, we see the mercy and faithfulness of God. A powerful reminder that while our hearts can drift, the Father’s heart remains faithful to His people.
