महामेधावी

जर्मन्देशीयः महाभौतविज्ञानी 'कार्ल् फेडरिक् गास्'  बाल्ये कदाचित् मुख्योपाध्यायेन दत्तस्य प्रश्नस्य उत्तरं निमेषद्वयाभ्यन्तरे ददाति । प्रश्नः आसीत् - ‘एकतः शतपर्यन्तं लिखित्वा सर्वेषां सङ्कलनं कृत्वा योगः लेखनीयः' इति । कथम् उत्तरं प्राप्तवान् इति पृष्टे फेडरिक् वदति - ‘आदौ मया प्रथमान्तिमयोः योजनं कृतम् । ततः द्वितीयोपान्त्ययोः योजनं कृतम् । अनन्तरं तृतीयायाः अन्त्यात् पूर्वस्याः पूर्वस्याः च योजनं कृतम् । एतस्मात् प्राप्तानां पञ्चाशत् युगलानां सङ्कलनं १०१ X ५० = ५०५० । एतत् सर्वं मया मनसि एव कृतम्' इति ।

The German scientist Carl Friedrich Gauss, as a child, once answered a question from his teacher in just two minutes. The question was - ‘Write the numbers from one to a hundred and find their sum’. When asked how he found the answer, Gauss said, ‘First, I paired the first and last numbers (1+100), then the second and second last (2+99), and so on. This gave me 50 pairs, each summing to 101. So, 50 × 101 = 5050. I did all this mentally’.

सम्भाषणसन्देशः इति संस्कृतमासिकपत्रिका (https://sambhashanasandesha.in) । एतस्यां पत्रिकायां प्रकाशिताः लेखाः, कथाः, बालकथाः, वार्ताः इत्यादिकं सर्वम् अपि सरलसंस्कृतेन एव प्रकाश्यते । तत्रत्याः “बालमोदिनी”नामिकाः बालकथाः अत्र प्रसार्यन्ते । अतः अस्याः शृङ्खलायाः नाम अपि “बालमोदिनी” एव । लघु गात्रं, सरला भाषा च कथानां विशेषः । प्रत्येकं कथा काञ्चित् नीतिं बोधयति । बालकथाः आबालवृद्धं सर्वेषां प्रियाः । संस्कृतेन ताः श्रोतुम् उपलब्धाः भवन्तु इति एषः प्रयत्नः श्रोतृभ्यः अवश्यं रोचेत इति विश्वासः । संस्कृतक्षेत्रे संस्कृतेन पॉड्कास्ट् क्रियमाणाः एताः प्रप्रथमाः कथाः इति सगौरवम् उद्घोष्यते ।
