Turning Pages

LA-based author Melissa Broder joins Toni for a conversation about her novel Death Valley, which she describes as a humorous look at grief. In the second part of the show, Toni talks with Mendocino County Librarian Melissa Carr and Salt Lake City Utah bookstore owner Calvin Crosby (The King's English) about the impact of book bans on our communities.

Toni Wheeler, the host of Turning Pages, grew up in New York and raised her kids in South Florida, where she lived for 25 years before relocating to Mendocino County She is a bookseller at Mendocino Book Company in downtown Ukiah, where she has enjoyed talking about books with readers since 2014. And as a frequent guest on the Summer Reads show on Jefferson Public Radio, out of Southern Oregon University, Toni discovered that she also enjoys talking about books on the radio.
