00:00:00:04 - 00:00:08:09 Chris Last week, we broke down the Chase Sapphire Preferred refresh and the new 100,000 point welcome offer. This week, we show you exactly what to do with it. 00:00:08:10 - 00:00:16:03 Katie We're walking through six real trips that you can book right now with those points including Hawaii, Disney World, Caribbean, Brazil, and more. 00:00:16:06 - 00:00:21:17 Chris Every example uses real current redemption rates, so you can follow along and actually go book it yourself. 00:00:21:17 - 00:00:34:04 Katie If you just applied for this card, or you've been sitting on a big stash of chase points wondering what to do with them, this episode is for you. 00:00:34:06 - 00:00:37:08 Chris Hey, I'm Chris. Welcome to the Upgraded Points podcast. 00:00:37:08 - 00:00:56:16 Katie And I'm Katie and today we have some Hilton Honors and Alaska Airlines news. And then we are jumping into a really fun topic how to use a 100,000 Chase points. So last week we showed you all about the new Chase Sapphire Preferred benefits and amazing welcome offer. This week we're going to show you exactly what to do with those points. 00:00:56:16 - 00:01:10:17 Katie Before we jump into all of that, don't forget an easy way to support the show is by going to Apple Podcasts or Spotify and leaving us a five star rating and review. It's your chance to let us know what you think, and also it helps others find the show too. So let's get the news out of the way first. 00:01:10:17 - 00:01:13:21 Katie Chris Hilton honors what what do we have there.? 00:01:13:23 - 00:01:41:15 Chris Right now? You can buy Hilton Honors points with a 100% bonus. So this offer will let you bring the cost per point down to just half a cent. And that is right on par with what we value. But Katie, you and I and our listeners, we can get much more value out of that. When you book strategically, the bonus kicks in when purchasing just 5000 points or more, and you can buy up to four, well, a total with the bonus 480,000 points. 00:01:41:15 - 00:02:03:05 Chris And that will come out to $2,400. Now, I would not recommend this for everyone, but if you're looking at staying at an expensive hotel and you can find some standard rooms available, this could make a lot of sense. So for example, Conrad Maldives, Wrangel Island that we talked about a couple episodes ago, those award nights go for 160,000 per night. 00:02:03:06 - 00:02:27:18 Chris Cash rates are easily over $1,400 on Monday nights, so you could just go and buy those points for $800 and you'd be saving $600 per night. Plus, with Hilton honors, when you book four nights, you get the fifth night free. So that brings that total cost down even further. Now that's an extreme example. We're not all flying to the mall leaves to take advantage of the sale, but this works with other high end properties as well, like the Conrad Osaka. 00:02:27:19 - 00:02:45:04 Chris That's 90,000 points a night, but still has rates around $1,000. So you could just save 50% just by booking these by buying these points. Now, as always, you run the numbers to see if it makes sense for you. But this is a very good sale if you need to buy Hilton points. 00:02:45:08 - 00:02:49:17 Katie Yeah, I should actually look into that because I was I'm looking at the Conrad Tokyo for next year. 00:02:49:17 - 00:03:09:15 Chris So I was looking at that as well. That is that one is is difficult because I think it was 120, 130,000 points per night. So you actually need a big chunk to get that five night stay there. And you'll just have to run the numbers on to see if it's worth it. First is cash cash prices because some of the cash prices were not even that crazy. 00:03:09:15 - 00:03:10:23 Chris So yeah. 00:03:11:00 - 00:03:16:07 Katie Take a look. I have to look at it. I haven't I haven't gotten that far in my booking process yet. But it's always good to know. Always good. 00:03:16:07 - 00:03:16:13 Chris To know. 00:03:16:14 - 00:03:39:04 Katie All right. So there was some Alaska Airlines news that dropped, I don't know, maybe a couple weeks ago. At this point I kind of forget, but the date that you need to know about is coming up. So we wanted to mention it. Alaska Airlines is raising its partner award booking fees by 60%. And so what this means is when you use the Alaska Atmos program to book a partner of flight. 00:03:39:04 - 00:04:03:16 Katie So if you're using that Atmos program to book an American Airlines flight or a Condor flight or whatever, you pay an award booking fee, a partner booking fee, and it's per person each way. Right now it's $12.50. So not the end of the world at all. I've paid this fee before and it's worth it. But on July 1st, which is coming up here pretty soon, that fee jumps to $20 per person. 00:04:03:16 - 00:04:24:11 Katie So and that is on tickets issued on or after July 1st, 2026. So it's like like we said, it's not it's not a crazy big number, but it's still it adds up if you're, you know, booking for more than one person, it's $40 per person for a round trip award. If you have a family of two, three, four, that really adds up. 00:04:24:11 - 00:04:42:07 Katie So it's just something to think about, but a great way to get around this. And it's actually the reason why I don't care about this news, actually, is one of the benefits of the Atmos Rewards Summit card is that you get waived partner booking fees. And this is a card that I got as soon as it came out. 00:04:42:09 - 00:05:07:15 Katie And I absolutely love it. It's one of those that has easy value where you don't really have to think about it to get good value from the card. So it's a $395 card. It's definitely in that mid-range. It's not cheap, but I think it's so worth it. It comes with that 25,000 Point Companion award, which essentially just gives you a 25,000 point discount on a on an award, which is amazing. 00:05:07:16 - 00:05:24:21 Katie I mean, that right there in my eyes is about the cost of the fee. So and then all the other benefits that come with it just add extra value. And one of those benefits is that I don't pay partner booking fees. So if you have any plans to use the Atmos program coming up, this is a card I think you should look at. 00:05:24:21 - 00:05:42:10 Katie It also comes with some Alaska Airlines lounge passes, free Wi-Fi passes, and a couple other unique benefits. And this is the card that earns three points per dollar on all foreign transactions. So this is the card I use any time I'm out of the country. So I just wanted to mention that if you're thinking about it, highly recommend that card. 00:05:42:10 - 00:05:48:03 Katie Go take a peek at some of the details, but it's a good one and it's going to be even more valuable starting on July 1st. 00:05:48:08 - 00:06:07:14 Chris That's well said. All right, well, let's take a break. And when we get back, we're going to share some fun and real examples that you can book right now with 100,000 chase points. 00:06:07:16 - 00:06:14:05 Chris Hey, real quick before we jump back in, if you're listening to this podcast, you're exactly the kind of person we built our free newsletter for. 00:06:14:06 - 00:06:24:10 Katie We break down the best credit card offers, transfer bonuses, award alerts, and travel news that actually matters. No fluff, no spam, just the stuff we text a friend if something big dropped. 00:06:24:11 - 00:06:29:07 Chris A lot of the deals we talk about on the show don't last long. The newsletter is where we flag those fast. 00:06:29:08 - 00:06:41:17 Katie It's totally free, and you can sign up at Upgrade Points letter. 00:06:41:19 - 00:07:04:19 Katie Okay. Welcome back. Let's dive into our topic this week. And we are talking about the Chase Sapphire Preferred. Last week we covered the refresh of this card and the new 100,000 point welcome offer. And this week we want to put those points to work and show you real examples of things that you can book. And the one thing I think is important in all of this is we're going to show you a lot of different ways to use 100,000 points. 00:07:04:19 - 00:07:23:00 Katie Some people will get that bonus, and they want to do everything they can within those 100,000 points without going over other people. Just want to put that 100,000 points towards an even bigger trip. And either way is okay. There's no wrong answer as long as you are getting a trip that you love. So hopefully some of what we talk about today will give you some good inspiration. 00:07:23:00 - 00:07:31:09 Katie So Chris, let's get it started. Can you remind us of what the the bonuses that we're talking about here, in case anyone missed last week's episode? 00:07:31:11 - 00:07:54:20 Chris Yes, the Chase Sapphire Preferred car now has a limited time offer of 100,000 points. Those are ultimate reward points. This is tied for the highest offer ever we've seen in this card. It is only at 100,000 points twice before. Once was way back in 2021 and the second time was last year. The standard offer is just 60,000 points, so this is a big jump. 00:07:54:20 - 00:08:13:04 Chris Check the show notes for all the details in the application link, but the points are great, but not if you don't know how to use them. So Katie and I, we're going to go back and forth with some real redemptions that we would book or we have booked, and that you can actually book right now because we just confirmed availability right before the show. 00:08:13:04 - 00:08:17:21 Chris So you can take these tips and run. Katie, I'll kick it off to you for the first one. 00:08:17:22 - 00:08:36:06 Katie Yeah. The first one is actually a destination I am headed to next week and that is Hawaii. So I found flights on southwest, which is a transfer partner of Chase. So you can turn your chase points directly into Southwest Point. I found flights to Kauai and Honolulu, and I look from a couple a couple different places. So I live in Columbus. 00:08:36:06 - 00:09:00:08 Katie So I looked at Columbus at random Midwest City, and I found round trip from Columbus all the way to Hawaii for 31,000 points on southwest. Even better if you're on the West Coast. I found a lot of availability from LA to Honolulu for 10,000 points round trip. Like you can't beat that. So you've got flights through southwest for hotels. 00:09:00:08 - 00:09:24:11 Katie There's a couple of options for those same dates that I happen to find. The those those fares. I found availability at the Hyatt Place Waikiki, which costs 15,000 Hyatt points. And if you will remember, we talked about it last week, or maybe you don't know the transfer ratio now for Chase Sapphire Preferred cardholders if you just applied, was it June 15th or after? 00:09:24:12 - 00:09:46:11 Katie Is 4 to 3 the rest of us that kicks in in October, I believe. But if you had just applied for the card with this new bonus, you will get a slightly different transfer rate. So those 15,000 Hyatt points will be 20,000 Chase points. But you can still book two nights with your points. You could book a third night through Chase travel using that $100 credit. 00:09:46:11 - 00:10:06:22 Katie And for those dates that I was looking at, all of these dates line up. It was about $256, which is great for Honolulu because I just was looking at this and I'm paying for a Honolulu hotel next week. So after your credits, about 150 out of pocket so you could fly, let's say from the Midwest, we're going to use my Columbus example. 00:10:06:23 - 00:10:16:10 Katie Two people round trip to Hawaii get two nights on points and one night for $150 out of pocket. That's a nice little trip. 00:10:16:10 - 00:10:16:21 Chris Right there. 00:10:16:23 - 00:10:39:16 Katie I bet now if you are flying from LA, you can do that and get four nights at that Hyatt Place Waikiki. All for just this 100,000 point bonus. Or you could fly ten people from LA to Hawaii. There's a lot of different options, and maybe you want to splurge on a bigger, you know, a fancier hotel. This covers your your flights, and then you can have some points left over. 00:10:39:18 - 00:11:03:06 Katie If you and a spouse each got the Sapphire Preferred 100,000 point welcome offer, then you have twice the amount of points to work with. So you could do those round trip flights to Hawaii from pretty much anywhere and like 7 to 9 nights at the Hyatt Place Waikiki, depending on where you're flying from or if, you know, 3 or 4 nights that maybe the Hyatt Regency or a marriott or whatever other hotel. 00:11:03:07 - 00:11:25:17 Katie So there are a lot of options. One tip I have is when you're looking like at flights or hotels, use the low fare calendar. Most, most hotels and flight airlines will have this now, where you can easily see when those cheapest fares are. And then we talk about flexibility all the time. You need to have the flexibility to be able to say, okay. 00:11:25:18 - 00:11:34:01 Katie Those are when the good deals are. That's when I'm going to go, okay. But if you have that flexibility and you use that low fare calendar, you can find some really great deals. 00:11:34:03 - 00:11:48:07 Chris That's awesome. Yeah, that's a really good deal, especially from the West Coast on southwest. It's really nice. All right. Well, I'm going to take you to the East Coast and let's just take a while. Guess where I'm going to take us for our first stop. We're going to Walt Disney World, folks. Yeah. 00:11:48:09 - 00:11:52:01 Katie Is anyone. Surprise, surprise. 00:11:52:03 - 00:12:16:13 Chris There's one hotel I'm not going to mention, though, but there are three that I want you to listen to, and they are all deluxe hotels that you can book with points. And right with this offer, you could book the three nights or more at either the Swan Dolphin or the Swan Reserve. And I was going to say I said more because right now through June 30th, there is a 55% transfer bonus when you transfer your Chase points to Marriott Bonvoy. 00:12:16:13 - 00:12:45:12 Chris So Swan, Dolphin and Swan Reserve, these are all Marriott properties and you can book them with your Marriott Bonvoy points. They are really nice hotels, especially the reserve. The reserve is the fancier of the three, but you can find rates starting at 36,000 points, or with the transfer bonus that drops to 24,000 chase points per night. Now, these are great because they're on property, which means you can walk to the parks, there's free transportation, you have early theme park entry, priority lightning lane bookings. 00:12:45:12 - 00:13:10:14 Chris And my favorite with deluxe hotels is the extended evening theme park hours. So that's on select nights. So for example, you could stay at Magic Kingdom until midnight or 1 a.m. and it is such a cool experience because it's like a private park. Only the guess they're staying in deluxe hotels will have access to the rides, so there's no extra cost for you as long as you can show your that you're staying in this on property. 00:13:10:14 - 00:13:33:20 Chris It's just a really cool experience. Now, if you don't want to spend all your points on 3 or 4 nights at a Disney hotel, you could maybe step off property for a little bit, go to a Disney partner hotel. There's Heights and Wyndham's, and I guess you could even book a Holiday Inn for 19,000 points per night, and then book round trip JetBlue flights for 10,000 points each way. 00:13:33:22 - 00:13:39:16 Chris So now your flights and your hotels are paid for, and all you need to worry about is your park tickets. 00:13:39:18 - 00:13:49:21 Katie Yeah, that's a that's a great way to to do Disney and save a little bit of money while you're there. Awesome. And we're all very happy that you didn't mention the contract. 00:13:50:02 - 00:13:55:09 Chris Oh, it always gets brought up. It wasn't me this time. 00:13:55:11 - 00:13:56:01 Katie That's okay. 00:13:56:02 - 00:13:59:14 Chris Gets enough. Not not a transfer partner from Chase. 00:13:59:16 - 00:14:01:12 Katie Awesome. No, those are great options. 00:14:01:12 - 00:14:03:23 Chris You could book through the portal, I suppose. 00:14:04:01 - 00:14:27:20 Katie I like your options. Those are. Those are good for 100,000 points. Okay. Next is I wanted to talk about some Caribbean and Central America destinations, and one that we've talked about a couple of times on the show very recently has come up is the Wyndham Grand Real Rainforest Beach and Golf Resort. I got the name right this time and it's available for 30,000 Wyndham points per night. 00:14:27:20 - 00:15:00:03 Katie So with this 100,000 point bonus from the Chase Sapphire card, you can have three nights at this hotel and it looks really nice. Three nights I looked at for spring break next year in 2027, like the end of March, the the points were available at 30,000 points a night. The cash cost was $3,300, which gets you over three and a half cents per point on those on your chase points. 00:15:00:03 - 00:15:22:14 Katie Now, the math is even better if you're transferring from Wells Fargo, but that's not this episode. So go watch the Wells Fargo episode to see what I'm talking about. But even at the at these prices, that's a really great value. Or if you and your partner each got one of these cards, you could get six nights at this resort and then, you know, do some cheap southwest flights or whatever to get there. 00:15:22:16 - 00:15:47:23 Katie But that's a really solid value. I mean, you did if you did six nights, it would be $6,600 in value. Yeah, which is great. Another option is the Hyatt Place in San Juan, Puerto Rico. There was tons of availability for 12,000 points per night, and I even found some for 8000 points per night. Those were a little bit less frequent, but there were definitely some there. 00:15:47:23 - 00:16:19:03 Katie So that would be with the transfer ratio 16,000 or over a little over a 10,600 chase points per night. I found four nights in October that you could do in a chunk, two nights at 8000 points per night Hyatt, and two nights at 12,000 Hyatt points per night, which would equal just over 53,000 chase points. So you could do that and get two round trip flights on southwest from probably most places for around 25,000 points each round trip. 00:16:19:08 - 00:16:39:11 Katie And you've got yourself for night stay in Puerto Rico. Yeah, plus lights for two people for your 100,000 point welcome bonus. So I thought that was a good option. So yeah, another one I found, which I almost stayed at last year for a night, but it just didn't work out. Is the sun scape Puerto Vallarta Resort and Spa? 00:16:39:12 - 00:17:05:01 Katie It's an all inclusive in Mexico. It is under the Hyatt umbrella. Nights start at 12,000 Hyatt points per night for two people and it's all inclusive. So that's 16,000 chase points per night for an all inclusive resort in Mexico, which seems pretty great to me. So with your 100,000 points transferring, even at the not so great ratio, you can get six nights at an all inclusive in Mexico. 00:17:05:01 - 00:17:29:06 Katie And if you happen to have had the card already before June 15th, you're going to get an even better value and get some extra nights. So that's even that's still a great offer. Even with that 4 to 3 transfer to Hyatt. Another cool one I found was the holiday in Panama Canal. And I looked at the photo and it's like it's right by the canal, which I thought was kind of cool, right? 00:17:29:11 - 00:17:53:17 Katie It's available multiple multiple nights for 18 to 22,000 IHG points. You can get a fourth night free if you also have the IHG card. Even that free traveler card gets you the fourth night free benefit, so you can get four nights for 55,000 IHG points. And again Chase points transfer 1 to 1 to IHG. You can fly Copa Airlines down to Panama City, booked through United. 00:17:53:17 - 00:18:14:04 Katie I found flights for 40,000 miles round trip. You get a little discount if you do have a United card, so keep that in mind. So this 100,000 points could get you one round trip flight and four nights in Panama and Panama City is a really cool place. I went there last year and did the canal and there's some really neat things to do, so it could be a kind of a cool, just little trip. 00:18:14:05 - 00:18:31:17 Katie So those those are a few examples in the Caribbean, in Central America, there were a lot I could have talked for five hours about different options. I was finding I was having a hard time, like picking out which ones I was going to talk about, but I think that just shows you there's a lot of options that maybe you don't. 00:18:31:18 - 00:18:40:12 Katie You don't realize you can get an all inclusive resort with 100,000 points or flights and a hotel. So I think it's fun to kind of look at the options. 00:18:40:14 - 00:19:03:16 Chris Yeah. All inclusive. That's pretty cool when you think about it. All right. So you did Central America. Let's go further south. Come on down to Brazil, folks. There are a lot of options for for points, flights and miles. But let's look at Virgin Atlantic because right now there is a 30% transfer bonus from Chase diversion. So that's one of the more efficient ways to get down to Brazil right now. 00:19:03:17 - 00:19:31:17 Chris Now you can fly on Thames. Really nice business class from the US of San Paolo for about 95,000 Virgin points. That comes out to 74,000 chase points with the bonus. That's that's great, but it's okay. It's not great. But I wouldn't spend all my points there. I would look at the economy flights if you could suck it up because it's just 37,501 way meaning round trip, you could book for just 58,000 chase points. 00:19:31:18 - 00:20:00:15 Chris Now with your remaining balance, you could go book some nice hotels. We get the Grand Hyatt Rio here that starts at 12,000 high points per night. So you need 16,000 chase points or the Sheraton Grand Rio, which often has rooms for 35 to 40,000 Mary Bonvoy points per night. So with the current, you know, 50, 55% transfer bonus, you would only be looking at 25,000 chase points per night at a really nice hotel in Rio. 00:20:00:15 - 00:20:06:03 Chris So you could build yourself a nice little long weekend, round trip flights and and on some nice hotels. 00:20:06:08 - 00:20:10:23 Katie Yeah. Or send your points to Chris and you can just stay with him for a while. 00:20:11:00 - 00:20:12:23 Katie You know. Is that a viable option? 00:20:13:00 - 00:20:21:18 Chris That is a great option. You know, I've got a pillow, couch, and I mean, we could fit a couple air mattresses on the floor here. I mean, we'll work something out. 00:20:21:19 - 00:20:25:18 Katie How many points per night do you charge, though, is the question. 00:20:25:20 - 00:20:27:12 Chris It's very expensive. 00:20:27:14 - 00:20:29:19 Katie One night, 100,000 points. 00:20:29:20 - 00:20:33:03 Chris Yeah. We'll make a deal. 00:20:33:05 - 00:20:52:23 Katie Okay. Next. I wanted to talk about some. Just a city escapes because sometimes it's just fun to go to a big city for a couple of days, and it's easy to do a weekend trip on some of these destinations. So in Chicago, I found the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk. I found a number of nights in two night chunks. 00:20:52:23 - 00:21:09:21 Katie Actually, there was, I think, a week at one point for 64,000 points for two nights or three nights for 96,000 points. Now, I will say that was in December, but there's a lot of cool stuff to do in Chicago in December. You can do there's a Christmas market there. It is cold, but I did this a couple years ago and it was kind of fun. 00:21:09:22 - 00:21:31:01 Katie There's the ice skating rink out by what is that, Millennium Park. I forget where the bean is and all that. There's a Christmas market. There's. You can see all the lights. There's lights at the zoo. It's actually kind of a fun place. So I found round trip flights on southwest to a lot of different places. From Columbus for 17 five round trip Atlanta, 14,000 round trip. 00:21:31:01 - 00:22:02:00 Katie Philadelphia 18,000 round trip. So wherever you are, you're going to probably find some decent flights so you can get two round trip flights and two nights in Chicago for under 100,000 points and you're out of pocket. Cost is only the regular taxes and fees on those southwest flights. 1120 round trip for each person. There's also the Hyatt Regency Hyatt Regency Chicago that's available for 12 to 15,000 Hyatt points per night, which equals 16 to 20,000 chase points per night. 00:22:02:00 - 00:22:24:22 Katie And I actually stayed there a couple years ago when I did my weekend Christmassy trip in to Chicago, and it's a great location. I really enjoyed that place. And so you could easily do three nights plus flights for two people at, you know, one of these hotels and have a really nice little fun city escape for that 100,000 points. 00:22:25:00 - 00:22:25:11 Chris Chicago. 00:22:25:12 - 00:22:45:04 Katie Yeah. So it's it's a great it tends to be lots of options for hotels, lots of options for flights. So I think it's it's a great option even in the winter. Another cool option is right outside of Denver. It's actually I've driven by it. It's really close to the Denver airport. It's the Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center. 00:22:45:04 - 00:23:07:09 Katie It's actually part of Marriott. So I found multiple sets of nights for 37 to 41,000 Marriott points per night. And I didn't even factor in the current transfer bonus in these calculations. But this place has an on site water park with indoor and outdoor pools, so it could be a really fun if you have some kids and they just need to get some energy out. 00:23:07:09 - 00:23:25:20 Katie It could be a really cool place. There's a top golf there, lawn games, they have special events, so it looks like it could be kind of a fun place. It's right near the Denver airport, so it's easy to get to, and you could do two solid nights with that 100,000 points, you'd be pretty close to three nights. And actually with that bonus, you would have three nights. 00:23:25:20 - 00:23:29:16 Katie So that could be another great option for just a quick city escape. 00:23:29:18 - 00:23:55:14 Chris All right, we'll talk about another city. I'm going to bring us to Tokyo. Everyone's talking about Japan lately, including us and Ana. Business class from the US is probably one of the most celebrated Japan sweet spots in the game. So you could book the room. That's what it's called through Virgin Atlantic for 37,500 points one way. That's from Hawaii. 00:23:55:16 - 00:24:16:08 Chris If you go from the West Coast, it's 52,500 or 60,000 from the East Coast. Now, with the current transfer bonus to Virgin Atlantic from Chase, the math gets even better. That's just 29,000 Chase points each way in business class. That's just a crazy number. 18,000 in economy. 00:24:16:12 - 00:24:18:05 Katie You need to look at that for my trip. 00:24:18:06 - 00:24:19:07 Katie Oh, you do. 00:24:19:09 - 00:24:20:18 Katie Have some work to do after the show. 00:24:20:19 - 00:24:35:16 Chris You have some work because that is one of the hardest ones to book. And you have to be at least 14 days out first class. You don't have to worry about that. But the problem is, it's really hard to come by because everyone wants to go to Japan and that is the best deal out there. So when it pops up, it goes quickly. 00:24:35:16 - 00:24:39:00 Chris So set your seats, arrow alerts and all your other alerts. 00:24:39:02 - 00:24:39:16 Katie Going everywhere. 00:24:39:17 - 00:24:41:04 Katie I'm getting emails all the time. 00:24:41:04 - 00:24:43:11 Katie It's ridiculous. 00:24:43:13 - 00:25:01:23 Chris I love it for hotels. Yeah, if you're going to be spending your welcome bonus on flights, you're probably going to want to stay on the budget side. So maybe your spouse or your partner, or maybe the group trip. Everyone gets this card and then you can all share hotels, nicer hotels. But in Japan, Wyndham has a solid footprint in Tokyo. 00:25:02:00 - 00:25:23:12 Chris Osaka rooms from 15 to 30,000 points per night. There are plenty of budget friendly options as well. In some of the smaller cities can get down to 7500 points per night. And though even though we have this, you know, lower transfer ratio to Hyatt, Hyatt does have some solid category two and category three hotels where you don't need to transfer as much. 00:25:23:13 - 00:25:47:15 Chris You won't feel that that devaluation as much. You could book a high house from 6000 high points per night, so that would be 8000 chase points. So 100,000 chase points could cover, you know, a one round trip business class flight to Tokyo plus 2 or 3 hotel nights. Or you could book two economy flights and then just book a longer multi-city hotel stay. 00:25:47:15 - 00:25:53:22 Chris So there's just a lot of options to to think about. And these are just some ideas to get the juices flowing. 00:25:54:00 - 00:25:54:20 Katie Yeah, there's. 00:25:54:21 - 00:26:24:05 Katie There's so many ways you can spend 100,000 chase points, whether you're sticking to just that or if you're applying that to a bigger trip. So we hope that this gives you a little bit of inspiration and gets you excited to plan your own trip with this 100,000 point welcome offer. Whether you just got the card or you've had the points sitting around for a long time and just needed some ideas, the transferable points will give you access to flights and hotels across dozens of programs, so you have a lot of flexibility to go, you know. 00:26:24:06 - 00:26:52:04 Katie Hawaii, Japan. Brazil, to Chris's house, wherever you want to go. It's all within reach with just this one single welcome offer. And that's one of the reasons why we're just so excited, because we don't see this type of welcome offer on a card that costs $95 a year very often. And remember, if you are, you know, you and your partner, spouse, friend, whoever travel partner, you can each get the card and then you have double those points. 00:26:52:04 - 00:27:08:19 Katie And if you live in the same household, you can connect your account with one other person in your same household and easily transfer those points back and forth between each other. But if not, you know, one of you could book the flights and one of you could book the hotels. Or there's there's a lot of easy ways to to figure that out. 00:27:08:19 - 00:27:17:14 Katie So so yeah, this is this is a really exciting welcome offer. And I'm excited about I want to go book something now. 00:27:17:15 - 00:27:20:20 Chris Yeah I got the itch now. Right. We're seeing all these good deals. 00:27:20:21 - 00:27:22:05 Katie No I almost. 00:27:22:05 - 00:27:28:14 Katie Booked a couple of things. When I was looking up I was like, oh that's good. Wait. And I would get distracted and I'd start planning my own trips. 00:27:28:16 - 00:27:30:02 Katie So yeah, that's. 00:27:30:04 - 00:27:46:01 Chris That's a very dangerous game. Yeah. And but also don't forget about this card also has a $100 annual hotel credit through Chase travel. So maybe that could be the final night. You need to put something together. And like you said, this is not bad for a card with a $95 annual fee. 00:27:46:03 - 00:28:00:18 Katie Yeah. Awesome. And if you want details about what has changed about this card, go back to last week's episode. We dove into everything that's changed, everything that stayed the same, and sort of whether or not we think this card is still worth it. Spoiler alert it is. 00:28:00:20 - 00:28:01:11 Katie But we'll. 00:28:01:11 - 00:28:08:22 Katie Give you all the details the good, the bad and the ugly in last week's episode, but otherwise that is going to do it for us this week. We will see you next week.
