Meet Carol Park, Founder & CEO of Makku, a craft makgeolli company based in New York City. Listen to Episode 041 to learn about Carol's childhood navigating the challenges of growing up in New York City, her journey as both employee entrepreneur, and what motivated her to start her own beverage company focused on one of Korea's oldest traditions.
We celebrate Carol's academic and professional achievements, through its ups and downs, and all that she has and will continue to accomplish.
We support Carol's creation, Makku, a combination of traditional Korean and modern American tastes, paying homage to one of Korea's oldest beverage traditions.
We are inspired by her desire to create something for herself she can be proud of, something her parents played a key role in creating, and something ultimately that will elevate Korean culture in America.
Carol is the Founder and CEO of Makku. Prior to Makku, she was a part of an elite team in M&A division of ZX Ventures, part of AB InBev, where she worked on launching brands in China. Between her BA at Michigan and MBA at Columbia Business School, Carol played key roles in non-profit, government, and technology organizations.
