On today's Daily Puck Drop with Jason "Puck" Puckett, former KJR host...Puck opens up talking about the state of the Mariners and whether or not they can squeeze into the playoffs, Puck doesn't think or want them to.   Puck says he feels some fans for WSU have apathy toward this weeks Apple Cup and he certainly understands why.  Finally, he wonders why the Seahawks created cap space with adjusting DK's contract.

Puck is joined on today's show by Rob Staton, SeahawksDraftblog.com, John Canzano, JohnCanzano.com and Bill Krueger, ROOT Sports.

First up, Rob Staton and Puck recap the Seahawks win over Denver and address their concerns with the offensive line. How was Ryan Grubb and the offense able to turn things around in the second half?  Puck and Rob both feel that Geno was forcing things in the first half to maybe prove he is a top flight QB. Finally, they gush about the defense, especially, Riq Woolen and Devon Witherspoon.

John Canzano stops by and he and Puck discuss the play of the northwest schools so far in the season.  Are Cougar fans fired up for the Apple Cup?  Are Oregon State fans looking forward to their game with the Ducks.  Puck asks John if he thinks Dan Lanning is a good coach or just a good recruiter. Finally, what have we learned in the first two games from Jedd Fisch?

Finally, we touch on the Mariners with Bill Krueger from Root Sports. Bill and Puck haven't talked since the firing of Scott Servais and the report that Jerry Dipoto will come back next season as president of baseball operations. Did Bill like the move?  Has Edgar Martinez truly made a big difference with hitting/approach?  Lastly, Krueger shakes his head at the thought the M's could trade Logan Gilbert in the offseason.

To wrap up the show it's "Hey, what the Puck!?"  Puck honors/celebrates the life of James Earl Jones as he plays his speech from Field of Dreams.
